What to do when email sending is paused because of Gmail, Outlook or Yahoo blocks
The "email sending is blocked" banner means a temporary pause (12 h; 24 h if it repeats) that ends on its own. Use the pause to find the cause under Settings › Email Services › Bounce Classification, fix SPF/DKIM/DMARC, clean your list and lower volume before resuming.

Before you start
- This only applies to accounts that send through the Elooo System email service.
- A "provider block" is when Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo or another mailbox provider rejects your emails because of reputation, authentication, content or sending behavior. It is counted separately from regular bounces.
- You need access to Settings › Email Services and, to fix DNS, to your domain's panel.
Where to find it
Settings › Email Services › Bounce Classification
Step by step
Know which stage you are in
- Warning email: arrives when your block rate rises above the healthy level (the warning shows your current rate, the recommended threshold and next steps). No pause yet.
- First pause (12 hours): if blocks continue, sending is suspended for 12 hours. You get an email and a banner appears at the top of Elooo System with the expected resume time.
- Second pause (24 hours): if the problem happens again, the next pause lasts 24 hours.
- In every case, sending resumes automatically when the pause ends. You don't need to request an unblock.
Find the cause
- Open Settings › Email Services › Bounce Classification.
- Review the block categories (DMARC failures, domain or IP reputation, content, technical configuration), the volume per provider and the exact error messages.
- Identify the 2 or 3 categories with the highest volume: those are the ones to fix first.
Fix things during the pause
- Stop non-essential campaigns and cancel sends scheduled for the next few hours.
- Check your domain authentication: SPF, DKIM and DMARC correct and aligned (see the related articles).
- Clean your list: remove invalid and bounced addresses and contacts with no interaction for a long time.
- Review content: broken links, misleading subject lines, spam-like wording, too many images.
- Lower your volume and, when sending resumes, start with your most engaged contacts only (people who open and click), ramping up slowly.
Keep it from happening again
- Avoid sudden volume spikes from one day to the next.
- Check Bounce Classification and Email Analytics regularly.
- Keep double opt-in for new subscribers and a visible unsubscribe link.
Tips
- The thresholds in use: the warning fires at around 3% blocks and the pause at around 5%. Counters reset after 7 consecutive days with blocks below 1%.
- In a future phase, repeated suspensions may lead to permanent suspension of sending on that account. Take the first warning seriously.
- During the pause, SMS, WhatsApp and calls keep working; only email is stopped.
Common problems
- The banner says sending is blocked and I have an urgent campaign → There is no way to skip the pause; sending resumes on its own at the time shown. Use SMS or WhatsApp for anything that can't wait.
- I got the warning but don't know what's wrong → Open Bounce Classification: each category comes with an explanation and recommended actions.
- Sending resumed and got paused again → The cause wasn't fixed. Correct authentication, reduce volume and send only to engaged contacts before returning to your normal pace.
- Almost all blocks come from Gmail → Usually missing authentication (DKIM/DMARC) or reputation. Check DMARC and warm up the domain slowly.
