How to connect Google Analytics 4 to Elooo System and your sites
In Settings › Integrations, connect Google Analytics and choose your GA4 property to see visits and pages in dashboard widgets. To measure visits to your websites and funnels, paste Google's tracking code into the site settings.
Updated on
Before you start
- You must use Google Analytics 4 (GA4). The old version (Universal Analytics) isn't supported.
- Sign in with a Google account that has access to the GA4 property and data stream.
- To add widgets to a dashboard, you need edit access to it.
Where to find it
Settings › Integrations › Google Analytics
Step by step
Connect GA4 to see data on your dashboard
- In the left menu, open Settings and click Integrations.
- Under Google Analytics, click Connect, sign in with your Google account and authorize the connection.
- Choose the GA4 property and your website's data stream. Save.
- Open Dashboard, enter edit mode with the pencil icon and click Add Widget.
- Pick a chart type and, in the Google Analytics category, the metric you want (for example, users, sessions by channel or top pages).
- Adjust the filters if you like, then click Save and Save Changes.
Measure visits to your websites and funnels
- In Google Analytics, open Admin and create a property (if you don't have one yet).
- Under Data Streams, choose Web, enter your website or funnel address and click Create stream.
- Copy the Google tag code (gtag.js) that Google Analytics shows you.
- In Elooo System, open Sites and go into the website or funnel.
- In the website or funnel Settings, paste the code into the header (head) tracking code field and save.
- Publish the website or funnel again and open a page to test. The visit shows up in Google Analytics real-time reports.
Tips
- Combine Google Analytics widgets with contact and opportunity widgets on the same dashboard to see the whole journey from visit to sale.
- Duplicate a widget and change only the filter to compare, for example, organic and paid traffic.
Common problems
- The widget shows "No Data" → The GA4 property isn't connected, the date range is too short, or the filters are too narrow. Check the connection in Settings › Integrations, widen the date range and review the filters.
- My property doesn't appear to choose from → The connected Google account doesn't have access to it. Request access in Google Analytics or connect another account.
- Website visits don't show in Google Analytics → The code wasn't pasted into the header, or the site wasn't republished afterwards. Paste it again in the settings and publish again.
- I only have Universal Analytics → Create a GA4 property in Google Analytics; only GA4 works with Elooo System.
