How to dispute a Google review and check the dispute status
In Conversations, open the conversation of the contact who left the review, click Dispute this review, confirm your Google account and business profile, pick the review and submit the takedown request. To follow up, take the same path and choose to check the status of reviews you already reported.

Before you start
- Your Google Business Profile must be connected to your account.
- Have the sign-in details for the Google account that manages the profile (Google will ask you to confirm it).
- Only dispute reviews that break Google's rules: spam, offensive content, conflict of interest, fake reviews. A legitimate complaint, even a harsh one, won't be removed.
- From Elooo System you can only dispute reviews that came in through the system (a review request sent from the platform). Any other review is disputed directly in Google's review management tool.
Where to find it
Conversations › (the contact's conversation) › Dispute this review
Step by step
Report the review
- Open Conversations and find the contact who left the review. The Google review card shows the name of the business profile it belongs to; make sure it's the right one.
- On the review card, click Dispute this review.
- Confirm the Google account email and the business profile linked to the review.
- Choose the option to report a new review.
- Google lists your profile's recent reviews: find the one in question (you can open it on Google Maps to double-check) and submit the takedown request, stating the reason.
Check the status
- Take the same path again and choose the option to check the status of reviews you already reported.
- The list shows each reported review and its current status (under review, accepted, declined).
- Click a review to see the decision summary. If the request was declined, you can appeal from there.
Tips
- Before disputing, reply publicly to the review calmly and with facts: anyone reading your reply gets the picture, even if Google keeps the review up.
- Keep evidence (service records, messages) in case the appeal asks for it.
- You can also report directly on Google Maps: open the review, use the three-dot menu and choose report.
Common problems
- There's no "Dispute this review" button → The review didn't come in through the system (it wasn't the result of a request sent from Elooo System) or the Google profile isn't connected. Report it directly in Google's review management tool.
- Google says the process isn't available because of the number of profiles → This Google tool only works for accounts with a small number of business profiles. Report the review through Google Maps or your Business Profile instead.
- The reported review doesn't show in the status list → Google limits how many reviews it shows in that list. Look the review up directly on Google Maps.
- The request was declined → Open the review in the status list and submit an appeal with more context. If there's no clear rule violation, focus on your public reply and on asking happy customers for more reviews.
Frequently asked questions
How long does Google take to decide?
The source doesn't state a timeframe. Follow the status in the reported-reviews list.
Can I delete a review myself?
No. Only Google (or the author) can remove a review. What you can do is report it and reply to it.
