How to publish a funnel or website and assign it to your domain

With the domain already connected in Settings › Domains, open the funnel or website in Sites, go to the Settings tab, choose the domain and save. Then click Publish in the builder. If there's no domain yet, Publish asks you to pick one.

Before you start

  • The domain or subdomain must be connected to your account in Settings › Domains (that's where the DNS records are set up). This article only covers assigning that domain to a funnel or website and publishing.
  • One address (e.g. www.myclinic.com) can only serve one funnel or website at a time. For another product, use a different subdomain (e.g. promo.myclinic.com).
  • The funnel or website needs at least one saved page.
Where to find it

Sites › Funnels or Websites › (open it) › Settings › Domain

Step by step

Assign the domain in settings

  1. Open Sites and choose Funnels or Websites.
  2. Open the funnel or website you want to publish.
  3. Click the Settings tab.
  4. In the Domain field, pick the domain or subdomain from the list.
  5. If asked, choose the page or step that loads when someone visits the domain with nothing else in the address (the default page).
  6. Click Save.

Publish

  1. Open the page in the builder (Edit button).
  2. Click Save to create a version with your latest changes.
  3. Click Publish. If the funnel or website has no domain yet, a window opens to pick one; choose it and the version is published right after.
  4. Publish again on every page or step you changed.
  5. Open your domain in the browser and check the page loads. The security certificate (SSL, the padlock) is created automatically and can take a few minutes.

Choose the default page and the error page

  1. Open Settings › Domains.
  2. On the domain, click Manage.
  3. If you see an Action Required notice, click it.
  4. Choose the Default Page (the one that loads on the main address) and the Default 404/Error Page (shown when someone opens an address that doesn't exist).
  5. Click Save.

Tips

  • Save creates a new version without touching the live site. Publish is what makes it visible to visitors.
  • In Versions, inside the builder, you can publish any saved version directly; the live one is tagged Live.
  • Before publishing, use Preview to test buttons, forms and mobile view.

Common problems

  • My domain isn't in the list → The domain isn't connected to your account yet, or it's already used by another funnel, website or blog. Check in Settings › Domains and use another subdomain if needed.
  • The domain opens a different page than I wanted → Change the Default Page in Settings › Domains › Manage.
  • I published but the page didn't change → Make sure you published the right page and refresh your browser. If you publish without saving, all changes since the last publish go live.
  • It says "not secure" or there's no padlock → SSL is created after the domain is assigned and can take a few minutes. If it persists, see the article on pages not loading or SSL pending.

Frequently asked questions

If I've never published, what do visitors see?

If there's no published version, the most recent saved version is shown.

Can I use the same domain for two funnels?

You can use one domain with different paths for each page, but every path must be unique on that domain. For a clean split, use one subdomain per funnel.
