How to install the desktop app (Windows, Mac and Linux)

Download the desktop app installer from the official link your company gives you, install it, open the app and click Sign In: your browser opens so you can log in, then you're taken back to the app. It works on Windows, macOS and Linux.

Before you start

  • Ask your company for the official download link for the desktop app. Only install from that link so you get an authentic, up-to-date version.
  • You'll need your Elooo System email and password.
  • On Linux, check whether your distribution is Debian-based or Red Hat-based, and whether your computer is x64 or arm64.

Step by step

Windows

  1. Open the download link and download the Windows installer (.exe file).
  2. Open the file and follow the setup wizard to the end.
  3. Open the app from the Start menu.
  4. Click Sign In. Your default browser opens.
  5. If you're already signed in to Elooo System in that browser, you're sent back to the app automatically. If not, enter your email and password in the browser and you'll return to the app when you're done.

macOS

  1. Download the macOS installer (.dmg file).
  2. Open the file and drag the app icon into the Applications folder.
  3. Open the app from Applications, Launchpad or Spotlight.
  4. Click Sign In and log in through the browser, just like on Windows.

Linux

  1. Download the right installer for your distribution (Debian or Red Hat) and architecture (x64 or arm64).
  2. Install it the usual way for your system.
  3. Open the app from your applications menu.
  4. Click Sign In and log in through the browser.

Turn on app notifications

  1. In your Windows or macOS notification settings, allow notifications for the app.
  2. In Elooo System, open Settings › My Profile › Notifications and turn on the desktop channel for the alerts you want.

Tips

  • The desktop app has the same data and features as Elooo System in your browser, in its own window with system notifications.
  • If you have access to several accounts, sign in as usual and switch accounts from the account menu.

Common problems

  • Signing in opens my browser → That's expected. Log in in the browser and the app picks up the session automatically. If you aren't taken back, accept the browser's prompt to open the app.
  • Windows or macOS blocks the installation → Make sure you downloaded the file from your company's official link. Download it again if it's incomplete.
  • No notifications appear → Allow notifications for the app in your operating system settings and check your preferences in Settings › My Profile › Notifications.
  • I'm in the wrong account → Open the account menu in the app and pick your company's account.

Frequently asked questions

Is the desktop app different from the browser version?

No. The data and experience are the same; the app just opens Elooo System in a dedicated window with system notifications.
