Before you start

  • To sell paid tickets, connect a payment provider (for example, Stripe) under Payments.
  • Have ready: event name, cover image (PNG, JPG or GIF, recommended 1920×1080, up to 5 MB), short summary (up to 160 characters), description, date and time, address or meeting link, and organizer details (name and email are required).
  • Decide the type: Ticketed (free and/or paid tickets with checkout) or RSVP (free confirmation with no payment step). This choice can't be changed after the event is created.
Where to find it

Memberships › Events › Create Event

Step by step

Create the event

  1. In the left menu, open Memberships and click Events.
  2. Click Create Event and choose Ticketed or RSVP.
  3. Fill in the name (up to 100 characters), the cover image, the short summary and the description (rich text with lists, links and images).
  4. Set the start and end date and time, the timezone and the time format (12-hour or 24-hour).
  5. Choose the location:
    • In-person: enter the address; the page shows a map and a Get directions link.
    • Online: name the session, paste the meeting URL, an optional image and joining instructions. Choose whether the link stays hidden until the event starts or follows a custom schedule.
  6. Fill in the organizer (image, name, email; website and phone optional) and click Create event. The event is saved as a Draft.

Tickets and coupons

  1. On the Tickets tab, click Add Ticket Type.
  2. For each type, set the name (e.g. General Admission, VIP), the pricing (Fixed price or Free), the quantity available and the sale period. You can mix free and paid tickets.
  3. Optional: under Tickets › Coupon Codes, create a coupon with an internal name, a code (or Generate), a percentage discount, an active period and usage limits. These coupons only work for events.
  4. Optional: on the Schedule tab, add sessions (title, day and time slot, stage, description, speakers) and, under Speakers, each speaker's details.

Page, settings and publishing

  1. Under Pages & Design, adjust the public page sections (about, tickets, schedule, speakers, location, hosted by, FAQ), the style (colors, typography) and the checkout fields (first name, last name and email are always required; you can add custom fields and require accepting terms). Use the mobile and desktop preview.
  2. On the Settings tab, set the registration deadline (defaults to the event start), the total capacity (0 = unlimited) and QR code check-in.
  3. Turn on Live mode. While it's off, the event runs in test mode and no real payments are processed.
  4. Under notifications, enable the confirmation and reminder emails for attendees, the new registration alert and daily summary for you, and set the From email and From name.
  5. Under Link & Tracking, adjust the URL slug, the Meta Pixel and the favicon, and copy the embed code if you want the page on another website.
  6. Click Publish event. The page goes live with a shareable link.

Tips

  • After publishing, the three-dot menu lets you share the link, duplicate the event, unpublish (keeps registrations), archive or delete it.
  • Sale periods, sessions and coupons all use the event timezone.
  • To see registrants and revenue and check guests in with QR, use the Registrations and Check-in tabs.

Common problems

  • I created it as RSVP but wanted to sell tickets → The type can't be changed. Create a new Ticketed event (you can duplicate the existing one to save time and switch the type).
  • Attendees can't pay → Live mode is off or no payment provider is connected. Turn on both.
  • A ticket shows "Not Yet on Sale" or "Sale Ended" → Check the ticket's sale period and the event timezone.
  • Registrants can't see the meeting link → It's set to hidden until start or on a custom schedule. Adjust it under Location.
  • I canceled the event and customers weren't refunded → Unpublishing or canceling doesn't refund automatically. Issue refunds from the Registrations tab.

Frequently asked questions

How do I put the event page on my website?

Open the event, click Share Event › Embed Code, copy it and paste it into a custom code block on your page.

Can an attendee transfer their ticket to someone else?

There's no self-serve transfer. Under Registrations, edit the attendee's details, or cancel the registration and add the new person manually.
