How to fix Facebook connection problems (page missing or connection expired)

If your page doesn't appear, make sure you're an admin and, in Facebook's business integrations, turn on every permission for the app you authorized and select the page. If the connection expired, disconnect and reconnect Facebook in Settings › Integrations.

Updated on

Before you start

  • Use the Facebook account that is an admin of the page.
  • You need access to Elooo System with permission to open Settings › Integrations.
  • Only the user who made the connection sees that page in the CRM's page list.
Where to find it

Settings › Integrations › Facebook–Instagram card

Step by step

Your page doesn't appear in the list

  1. In Facebook, click your profile photo at the top right and open Settings & privacy › Settings.
  2. In the left menu, open Business Integrations.
  3. Find the app you authorized when connecting Elooo System and click View and edit.
  4. Scroll all the way down and turn on every option.
  5. In the list of pages, check the page you want to connect. Don't uncheck pages that are already checked: that breaks connections that are working.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Go back to Elooo System and connect Facebook again in Settings › Integrations.

The page still doesn't appear

If the page admin also has their business account associated with that page, the page may not show up. In that case, add a second admin and have them make the connection:

  1. In Facebook, click your profile photo, choose See all profiles and switch to the page.
  2. Click Manage, then Page access.
  3. Next to People with Facebook access, click Add New, enter the person's name or email and select them.
  4. Give them full control, click Give Access and confirm with your Facebook password.
  5. The person accepts the email invitation and makes the connection in Elooo System.

The connection expired

  1. Open Settings › Integrations.
  2. On the Facebook card, click Connected to disconnect the broken connection.
  3. Click Connect again.
  4. In the Facebook window, continue as yourself, choose the page and click Connect Page.

Tips

  • Connections usually break when someone changes their Facebook password, logs out of Facebook, removes the app's authorization, changes page permissions, or logs in from another country. The authorization also expires on its own after a while.
  • The person who authorized the connection must keep access to the page; if they leave, reconnect with another admin.

Common problems

  • The page doesn't appear when connecting → Turn on every option for the app in Facebook's business integrations, check the page and save. Then reconnect.
  • I got an email saying the Facebook connection expired → Disconnect and reconnect Facebook in Settings › Integrations.
  • Other pages stopped working → Someone unchecked pages in business integrations. Check them again, save and reconnect.
  • I get a permission error → Make sure every permission for the app is on for all pages and that you're an admin of the page.
  • Facebook reports a page quality issue → Meta handles this. Open a support request with Facebook from the page.
