How to change the email you sign in with

To change your own login email, go to Settings › My Profile › Security and confirm the change with a code (SMS or authenticator app). An admin can change another user's email in Settings › My Staff.

Updated on

Before you start

  • Changing your login email is a sensitive change: the system always asks for verification.
  • You can verify with an email code, an SMS code or an authenticator app. Only the methods you've already verified are shown.
  • If you no longer have access to your old email, keep your phone handy (SMS or authenticator app).
Where to find it

Settings › My Profile › Security

Step by step

Change your own email

  1. Open Settings and click My Profile.
  2. Open the Security tab.
  3. In the login email area, enter your new email.
  4. Choose how to confirm your identity (for example SMS or authenticator app) and enter the code you receive.
  5. If you have no other verified method, the system asks you to set up an authenticator app. Follow the on-screen steps, then finish the change.
  6. From now on, sign in with your new email.

Change another user's email (admins)

  1. Open Settings › My Staff.
  2. Find the user and click the pencil icon.
  3. Change the Email field.
  4. Choose one of the verification methods available for that user (email, SMS or authenticator app) and complete verification.
  5. Click Save and let the person know they now sign in with the new email.

Tips

  • Before changing your email, set up the authenticator app so you can confirm even without access to your old inbox.
  • Add your mobile number to your user record so SMS is also available.

Common problems

  • The SMS or authenticator app option doesn't appear → Those methods aren't verified on your account yet. Set up the authenticator app in My Profile › Security and try again.
  • I'm not getting the SMS code → Check that the number on your profile is correct and includes the country code. If not, ask an admin to fix it.
  • The new email is already in use → That email belongs to another user. Use a different email or ask an admin to check.
  • I don't have access to any verification method → Ask an account admin to make the change in My Staff.
