How to see how many WhatsApp messages were sent, delivered and read

For a template, go to Settings › WhatsApp › Templates, click Reports and open Deliverability (sent, delivered, read) or Button Clicks. For a workflow, open the WhatsApp action and click Statistics; the Export button downloads the list with each message's name, number, status and date.

Before you start

  • Your WhatsApp number must be connected to Elooo System.
  • The per-template report isn't available for numbers connected in coexistence mode (phone app + CRM).
  • Button clicks are only counted on Marketing and Utility templates, and aren't available for accounts or numbers in the European Union, United Kingdom or Japan.
  • For the workflow report, you need access to Automation.
Where to find it

Settings › WhatsApp › Templates › Reports (per template) · Automation › Workflows › (WhatsApp action) › Statistics (per workflow)

Step by step

Report for a template

  1. In the left menu, open Settings and click WhatsApp.
  2. Open the Templates tab and find the template. The list already shows the number of messages delivered and the weekly trend.
  3. Click Reports (or View Report) on the template.
  4. On the Deliverability tab, pick the start date and end date. You'll see three numbers:
    • Sent: left the system (one gray tick in WhatsApp).
    • Delivered: reached the customer's phone (two gray ticks).
    • Read: were opened (blue ticks).
  5. On the Button Clicks tab, see how many times customers tapped each URL button (opens your site) or Quick Reply button in the template.

Statistics for a WhatsApp action in a workflow

  1. Open Automation › Workflows and go into the workflow that has the WhatsApp action.
  2. Click the WhatsApp action and then Statistics.
  3. Pick the date range. You'll see the total, plus pending, sent, delivered, read and failed messages.
  4. For the full list, click Export. The downloaded file has, for each message, the contact name, number, status and date/time.

Tips

  • Compare read rates across templates to learn which wording and timing work best with your customers.
  • A quick reply button can let customers opt out of marketing messages; the report shows how many used it.
  • Data is shown per day: pick short ranges (for example, the campaign week) to analyze a specific send.

Common problems

  • The message shows as Delivered but the customer says they read it → The customer turned off read receipts in WhatsApp. In that case, read messages are counted as delivered.
  • I don't see the Reports button on the template → The number is in coexistence mode, which has no per-template report. Use the workflow or bulk action statistics instead.
  • The Button Clicks tab shows nothing → The template isn't Marketing or Utility, has no buttons, or the account/number is in the EU, UK or Japan, where this metric isn't available.
  • Lots of Failed messages → Usual causes are a number without WhatsApp, a blocked template, a restricted account, or the per-user marketing message limit. Export the list and check the affected numbers.

Frequently asked questions

How many buttons can a template have?

Up to two URL buttons and up to ten quick reply buttons, grouped by type (quick replies can't be mixed in among the others).

Does the report include messages sent manually in a conversation?

The per-template report counts every send of that template; workflow statistics count only the messages from that action.
